Gluten Free & Dairy Free Fruit Cumble

You can't beat a nice crumble especially when the weather starts to get a bit autumnal.  It's also a great time of year for fruit picking & I'm very lucky to have lots of apples in my garden,  I grew raspberries this summer & I'm surrounded by blackberries so what better way to enjoy them than in a nice hearty crumble.

This recipe is an easy one to remember as it's all the 100's & just 5 ingredients;

Ingredients;

Crumble;

100gm gluten free flour

100gm demerara sugar

100gm ground almonds

90gm margarine (I use Stork).  You can also use butter if you prefer & don't want or need it to be dairy free

60gm flaked almonds

Filling;

2 cooking apples & a handful of raspberries & blackberries.   If you don't have berries then use 3 apples.

Method;

Preheat the oven to 180c.  I used a 'bakeable' tray to make mine as they get sold at a nearby market but you can use any kind of dish or tray....there's enough crumble to cover a 9" tart or quiche dish.  You could use individual moulds if you're entertaining & want to jazz things up a bit :)

Pop all the dry ingredients into a bowl except the flaked almonds,  leave those aside for now.  Add the margarine & using your fingers work it into the dry ingredients until you get coarse breadcrumbs.  Now add the flaked almonds.

Prep you fruit,  apples should be skinned and cored then slice them into your baking dish and pop in the rest of the fruit.

Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit & pop in the oven for 25 minutes.

Serve hot with whatever you fancy....cream, yoghurt, ice cream & enjoy !
